Grade 5: Building group dynamics. "The Human Knot"

Drama is all about cooperation and synchronization.
This game aims to work with the dynamics of a group while the members have fun.
Everyone needs to hold hands or ropes and they can try to tangle as much as they want. In 10 seconds, the group needs to return to their original shape.

Grade 6 and the art of Kabuki make up.

In 2005, UNESCO designated Kabuki as a "masterpiece of the oral and intangible heritage of humanity"

Kabuki is a popular Japanese musical theater and has its origins back in the 17th century.

Grade 6 had the chance to work with real Kabuki make up and the creation of the three basic characters. (Thank you, Airi!)

Lesson 1; the hot-headed hero.  Leo and Lucille offered to be our characters for today.

Grade 4: Expressing feelings through face painting; introduction to the theatrical make up

Face painting has its origins centuries ago.
Used by several tribes to mark special occasions or professions,
used by the Celts and other warriors to intimidate the enemy,
used in the Chinese Opera and Kabuki theater,
and - of course - evolved into visual effects makeup in the movie industry.

During our Drama Classes, we will learn how to use specific techniques to transform the face of our cast to different characters.

First lesson: Introduction to lines and colors.
