Grade 3: The 10seconds object game: A bonding activity that helps collaboration rather than self-exposure and emphasize fun rather than embarrassment (from David Farmer's suggested Drama Games in his book "101 Drama Games and Activities".

The concept:

In small groups (in our ocassion, 7 students per group) we pick a leader and an object and the group has to make the shape of that object out of their own body.
Groups are given a few minutes to design the shape on a piece of paper and after shaping it with their bodies they need to stay completely frozen in this position.
Adding some more fun, the object needs to move without changing shape.

Group B design the "washing machine" shape

Group A designs the "fire" shape

Hannah leads them to their position

Abigail is making sure that the circle is big enough

Veronica suggests a new position for Hannah

Washing Machine is almost done

Can you see Abigail as a piece of cloth ready to get washed?

Let's switch. Group B gets the washing machine

And group A gets the fire

Fire

Washing Machine
