Modern Music History is, nowadays, as essential as the Classic Music History.
Our little future performers, need to understand where the music they are listening at now, has come from, and what are the elements that helped our music appreciation skills to evolve.
Grade 4 is starting from Rock'N'Roll.
Very basic information is given in this stage: how many instruments, what is the time signature; we are focusing more on how does it feel to listen or to sing songs from the Rock'n'Roll era.
Dancing is very important as part of the Music Course for reasons that I have mentioned before. The more important, though, element that we all need to acknowledge is that it trains our students to be fearless in a public performance by adding the fun element.
